All Eggs from the Giving Nature Farmers Group are:
Local: Giving Nature eggs come from local family farms.
Sustainable: Not all “Local” is sustainable. Our eggs are produced by small family farms who all practice a sustainable, bio-diverse approach to agriculture.
Independent Farmers: Giving Nature is a Farmer’s Group. All farms are independently owned and work together to provide all the eggs for Giving Nature customers.
Humane: Our farmers have their chickens inspected by Humane Farm Animal Care, and are Certified Humane, the most trusted Animal Welfare Certification in the U.S.
PATHS Supported or Approved: Giving Nature Farmers belong to PATHS, Progressing Agriculture Towards Healthy Sustainability. PATHS works with small family farmers, to help educate and encourage sustainable farming practices with the ultimate goal of achieving the PATHS Approved recogniton of having all chickens on pasture and fed organic grain.

Giving Nature, a family owned business, has always maintained a fundamental responsibility to our environment. First and foremost, we are dedicated to practicing sustainable agriculture. Our eggs come from a collective of small family operated farms in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. We are and will remain regional, concentrating our efforts on creating opportunity to anyone, large or small who shares our commitment to increase sustainable farmland. In tandem with our respect for land we also maintain a belief that animals should be treated humanely.
In short our goal is to encourage and promote sustainable agriculture while preserving our planet for future generations. This goal is challenging but we believe attainable, we understand to achieve our objective we need to work together.
We hope you will help us as you have done so in the past. Thank for your generous support.

Giving Nature

For over 20 years all our chickens have been cage free. We allow outside access from barn to small pastures which are involved in a Progressive Pasture program. This allows for a small farmer to contribute to sustainable agriculture who before this program, would have not have had the opportunity to participate due to financial restrictions. The one acre at a time system allows for slow growth and increase of organic farmland. We support this system even if the pasture remains small with the purpose of growing over time. We invite participation in this program by all who are dedicated to increasing organic farm land, humane treatment of animals and sustainable farm practices.
