After more than a decade of experience in the natural foods industry, during which time they successfully developed and marketed natural egg products that reflected sustainable agriculture values, John and Mary Baker created their company, Giving Nature Foods. The fundamental philosophy of Giving Nature Foods involves creating delicious whole foods in keeping with values which show respect for the earth, farmers and fair business practices. This philosophy led them to the concept and commitment of joining with others to create their own organic foods.

Having grown up on a farm in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, John understood and felt very comfortable within the culture and practice of rural life. With a deep reverence for the sustainability of farmland and a true respect for the idea of family farming, John sought to join together with organic farmers within the Lancaster county area to regionally produce and distribute our products now known as Giving Nature Organic Eggs. Maintaining standards for product purity is, and always will be a priority for any product that carries the Giving Nature Foods label.

John's knowledge of farming and farmers, combined with Mary's growing knowledge and interest in the organic movement created the foundation for which they built their company. Together they conceptualized and created their Giving Nature Foods label which would enforce and respect organic food production standards. Standards that acknowledge that foods grown in accordance with nature and with a respect for the environment will create foods that tastes delicious and will be free of harmful additives.

Giving Nature Foods is proud to ask you to support Farm Aid, an organization dedicated to the preservation of the family farm. Willie Nelson, Neil Young and John Mellencamp organized the first Farm Aid concert in 1985 to raise awareness about the loss of family farms and to raise funds to keep farm families on their land.
